Subscribes to the state of an atom.
Type Parameters

  The state type.
Parameters
- atom: Atom<S, any>
  The atom to subscribe to.
- Optionalcomparator: Comparator<S>
  Optional comparator function to determine if state has changed.
Returns S
The current state of the atom.
